About the artist

As an art teacher in Woodbury, CT, Laura guides her students to find their own artistic style. She also designs greeting cards for Gordon Fraser, LTD, featuring animals dressed in vintage outfits.

Animals have always been a theme in Laura Lasker’s artwork. As a high school art student herself, she won
a Scholastic Golden Key Award for her etching of a bird. She’s been drawing, sketching, and painting pets
ever since.

After working for years in watercolor, acrylic paints, pen and ink, and gouache, she is delighted to have discovered pastels as a unique method to capture the personalities of our favorite pooches. All you need to
do is email a photograph of your dog to the artist, and your favorite furry friend will be immortalized in an original portrait. Satisfaction guaranteed.
